Yesterday I posted a pic of the Eight Mile River. Last night we had about 4 inches of snow fall. Today I returned to the same location and took another shot of the river. I cropped the pic a bit and up'd the colors a tad. Polarizing filter used.

I agree, the cropped one its better, too much white in the original at the bottom and so open is very distracting, and in the cropped one you have a nice composition.

Brrr...I heard on the radio about 2 hours ago it was minus 11 degrees with the wind chill factor. It was pretty dang cold when I took this shot around 3pm today, too!
This part of Eight Mile River is actually along the roadside but in Devil's Hopyard State Park (south of the falls). I took the wider angle because my original intent was to recompose yesterday's shot and show it with snow. Not remembering correctly, I didn't exactly accomplish that. Plus, with the ice I wasnt able to show the swirls in the water like yesterday which made the wider angle shot much more interesting. And while I hate to crop my images, it does make for a much better shot :)
How much snow did you get up that way, anyways?? You usually get quite a bit more than we do. Too bad it wont all be hanging around for the holiday

What a difference a day makes. Hope you folks are enjoying the snow. If we get any here, you'll hear it on the news.
