Lovely captures Werner :)

Think I've got leaf cutters in my garden- get neat holes in the edges of new leaves on one camelia but I've never caught them cutting.

Thanks Brian :)

Would love to catch them cutting the leaf too. But I was glad to get shots of the bee. It had a funny habit, it stayed just for a couple of seconds on one place and came back to the same spot after a few minutes again and again, and that for quite a while.

Yes I get that too with Osmia sp bee (mason bees but also leaf cutters). They go for a short patrol and within minutes are back sitting in the same spot.

Love #1,, dont these guys actually cut a part of the leaf off and fly around with it? I think I've seen these guys before, they cut a part of the leaf off and try to fly making a very loud buzzing noise as they attempt to move a part as big as thier body

The page is in german, but the picture shows great where they lay the egg.
