Here is a couple from a lot i took at the Barrage, Saturday was windy and cold but yesterday turned out to be nice an sunny although there was a fresh wind. Lots of cameras and plenty of people wanting to show off for them i think.....

Thx Geoff, i really struggled i bought a second hand lens a canon 70-300 and spent a lot of time adjusting it as it was hard to find out where they were going to do there tricks, also was suffering most of the time from dried water on my lens, thankfully som really nice photographer gave me a disposable lens wipe. these two were just picked at random as was in a hurry last night as i needed my bed. i spent most of the day helping people launch and retrieving there skis and holding there skis on the start line and today i am suffering.. i going to put a few of the better ones up i took.

2 ways to clean your lens..
1. A cheap chamois leather as used on windows. Get the water off before it dries.
2. If it's already dry, a microfibre cloth and a healthy dose of breath (bad or otherwise) will do the trick nicely.
I know what you mean about the Freestylers. At first i stood back a bit (down past the Cherry Picker) and used the 500. After 20 minutes or so i stuck the 120-300 and grabbed a space next to Simon where the main crowd was. As it turns out i got a decent mix of shots so i'm happy :)
If that Canon is the 75-300 USM it's one i had when i first went digital. It's not bad up to 200mm or so but tends to be a bit soft after that.
