What a great show they put on. They surprised everyone at the beginning of their encore by brining Gord Sinclair from The Tragically Hip on stage to play the last three songs with them and also sing backup. Was really a great show.

The lead guitarist, John-Angus is so fun to shoot as you will see in 4-6-7-8

All shot with 20D and 16-35L at 1600 2.8 almost no PP other then a little noise reduction and a little sharpening and of course the Gray scale conversion.

Solid set.
I like the first 2, but #4 and 6 are nice as well.

Thanks, funny thing is that #2 was about to go in the trash because of it being to dark to recover then I mistakenly hit Grey scale in Lightroom and saw something in it, punched up the exposure to about 3 stops over and the brightness to about 90% and this is what came of it. So new rule for me. Never discount an image that has good composure just because it is either blown out and over exposed or way to far underexposed. Gery scale can be your friend to. lol
It also help that for this show I was using my 16-35 and was planted firmly right in front of the stage. #8 I could have reached out and grabbed his leg while taking that shot, I was a little disappointed I could not get back enough to keep his one foot in the shot. This was a problem for a few images but it is better then just getting upper torso shots I guess.

As Rene says, solid set and proof that a 20D is plenty good enough for a talented tog! I, of course, can't manage without a 1DMIII. :-)

Thanks Dwight, yes the 20D is a decent body but also having great glass in front of it helps allot as well I have noticed. The 16-35 2.8L makes a world of difference, it's allot of money but if anyone is doing clubs and wants a great upgrade I recommend this lens. In fact since I got it I have not used my 50 1.4 :-(
