This is my first airshow that I went to with a camera and it is a very different experience trying to take pictures of planes. Man are my arms tired from hand holding the bigma for 7 hours, also the bigma is not an airshow lens in my opinion the AF hunts just a little to much for me. I am happy with some of the pics I got, but geez jets are fast.

1. Thunderbirds 1 and 2 passing behind the swearing in ceremony.

2. Thunderbird 3 on takeoff

3. Famous cross (probably my favorite of the day)

4. Steep turn (getting a little vapor on the wings)

5. More Vapor, doesn't really stand out against the white plane.

6. Man the Thunderbirds are cool.

They look good. Nice catch on the cross pass.

The Bigma actually is an OK airshow lens. It just needs better light (or a 1D ;) j/k :)). Those aren't bad at all for your first airshow. That crossing shot is very nice :)
