Hi,
I do not know the eos-500 camera, but I believe the lenses should work on the D30 and D60. I used the same lenses on a Rebel-g, Rebel-S and an A2, and my D60. Note that the lenses will be magnified by a factor of 1.6, so your wide angle lens will not be so wide.
What lenses do you have?
BTW: Go for the D60!

Yes, they will work but the 75-300 is not the best lens in the world! I sold my old 75-300 with my Rebel on eBay and bought some decent lenses. The lens which rarely leaves my camera is the underrated 28-105 which I find tack sharp and very inexpensive. Just bear in mind that buying the D60 body is just the start of the expense!
Cheers
