Night from hell!! Went to a local venue to shoot Another Black Day who was supporting Drowning Pool. I got to the venue and the photopass wasn't waiting, ugh. Luckily I had brought the email with me from the label so the venue said they would let me in but I couldn't take any pictures (WTF? Why do you think I'm here?)

So I went to take my camera back to the car and ran into one of the guys from Drowning Pool who was nice enough to go get his Tour Manager who gave me a DP pass so I could take my camera back in. Super nice.

I go back into the venue with my photopass, the venue staff stops me and says, "You can't go in with that shirt on." WHAT??? Apparently b/c my tshirt had numbers on it, they said it was a jersey and they didn't allow jerseys. WHAT?? Seriously? So after arguing with the management of the club to no avail I finally ended up having to buy a shirt from the club just so I could get in. UGH!!

FINALLY got into the venue for the last song of ABD's set. BOOOO!! When DP came on I went up to take pics of them since they were nice enough to give me the pass, figured I do a freebie for them. Didn't even get one pic snapped before I was pulled from the pit. Apparently the Tour Manager who gave me the pass to start with didn't want any pictures taken. What a night!

he changed his mind in the course of 90 minutes??? is there more to this story?

That's what I wondered? The only thing I can assume is that he gave it to me just so I could shoot ABD. Technically I didn't ask to shoot DP, just thought I would do it to be nice since he gave me the pass. Usually this club is very liberal about cameras but for some reason Friday night this Tour Manager was very adamant that no one be allowed to take pictures (even p/s cameras.) No clue why. The last time I saw DP there it was exactly the opposite. Everybody and their brother had cameras.

Here's what I just found on their website concerning their dress code. I don't see anything that says "Jersey" although they have a big fat "any reason we want" clause in it. I guess it just wasn't my night.

Dress Code

Dress casually, but please do not dress sloppy or indecent. Keep in mind that attending Cattle Annie’s is a social event. Please dress to fit the occasion. You may not be admitted if wearing the following items:

No Sweats or athletic wear, torn or soiled clothing
No Profanity and non-commercial logos on clothing
No Shirtless vests, jackets, muscle shirts or tank tops on men
No Excessively baggy clothing. Pants pockets must be visible!
No Hats or headgear of any kind for certain Top 40 Dance Entertainment
COLLARED shirts are required for DJ Dance Events

Coats are not permitted in the club. Coats may be checked upon admission for a nominal charge. Shirts hanging below wrists or pants pockets must be tucked into pants. You will be asked to leave if your shirt is not kept tucked-in. Knives or other threatening objects are expressly prohibited!

We may deny admission to any person for any reason at our discretion and based on individual circumstances. Adhering to the above guidelines alone does not ensure you are dressed properly. Proper dress depends on the occasion. Management may modify the dress code according to seasonality, promotions and types of entertainment. If in doubt, dress up or ask us

Please be attentive to any items that may be a used as a weapon, including a pocketknife. Management may search anyone or scan anyone with a metal detector at anytime. If security finds any item that appears threatening, you will be asked to leave the premises.

You can't really see the whole thing, but here's a picture of the "jersey" in question. It wasn't even a real sports team. I look really menancing, don't I?

I see at least 4 reasons I would not be admitted there any given night
