C&C - firefighter

Below are a cropped and un-cropped version of a picture of a firefighter. I would like suggestions about how best to crop it, but also c&c in general. I'm trying to go for a "lost in thought" idea. I think the isolation helps the idea of being "lost in thought," so I'm not sure how aggressively to crop it. I think cropping out the building on the upper left would be an obvious thing to remove, but I'd like suggestions on how best to crop it to leave the lost in thought effect.
