Roger-

Fire shots are always interesting even when they are a little "off". Obvious comment = pan to the left, the almost black void screams for relief.

you could use this as a base for a couple of faces looking hypnotized in the "black" area. but then it would be a composite. Nothing wrong with that, if that was your intention.

Next time - shoot ten shots and select the one that you feel is what you were trying to capture.

I like the idea & shot is also good
but the only thing i didn't like about this snap is :
empty dark space on the right hand

I like it I can see the flames in the right hand viod on my monoter it makes the flames look like they are trying to get away.

My favorite was your first one. I like the abstract nature (and the dark space on the right). My suggestion with these type of shots is to shoot wide and crop. It's so difficult to work out exactly where the flame will go next that I find this the most successful strategy. Good luck!

Yeah i found that sometimes - i was getting a black shot as the fire went so quickly!!

thanks for the comments - next bonfire i will try again!
