Canon Camera in Cold Conditions at Castle Combe Caterham Carnival

Enough of the alliteration. It was a decent day out at Castle Combe, shame about the weather. In fact, if anyone thinks they've been more saturated, you haven't. Even wearing a waterproof coat and water proof trousers over my clothes, I was 0-soggy underwear in about 2 minutes. The rain was just about horizontal at one point! Stupidly, I braved the weather in the morning, and never recovered, which spoilt the afternoon really, since the weather was much better then, but still rubbish. I did hang around Quarry most of the time, waiting for the whole field to crash spectacularly, but that didn't happen, whilst I was there at least. However, the safety car was in the lead for most of the races, unless they were red flagged. Didn't really venture too far around the track/from the car because of the 'conditions' which saw my lens hood collecting a puddle of water which would slosh out as I panned. Hope you enjoy the photos! I used a 30D and magic drainpipe, drainpipe quite literally this time. Comments welcomed as always!

I like the first shot, but I'm not sure the slow shutter stuff is doing anything for me.
