Hard to tell any difference in image quality between the two cameras - especially at this low resolution.

Makes you wonder why you paid so much for the dSLR, doesn't it?

I use my G5 and my XTi almost interchangeably, and the pictures seems to be equally good.

My theory is that it takes a camera with a lot more Megapixels that any of these cameras have in order to get anywhere near the resolution limits of the lenses.
