I'm on the lookout for one of these. Must be in good working condition, mold free and preferrably with a UO date code, or later. Please be prepared to include images of the lens as well as images shot.
I'm looking to pay around $2850. Feel free to leave me a PM. Thanks!

Hey there. I have one of these. It is the 500mm/4.5 (not the f4L IS version). It's in great working condition, but does have a crack on the aluminum ring in the front of th lens where the rubber attaches.
Mine has a camo lens coat that is always on it, but does have the normal external dings and scratches.
I'll get you the date code and some pics and can do the transaction for $2800 shipped (can we split the pp fees?). Where do you live?
BTW, write me back directly: rickf325@gmail.com

Well, as much as I didn't want to spend that much money, I pulled the trigger on a new EF 500L f/4.0 IS. :) So, I will be locking this thread. Thanks for looking!
