Hey guys I would like some advice on cropping drift cars.

Here is the orginal image:

Here is the cropped:

Now personally the cropped version just looks weird to me and prefare the uncropped version.

So what do you think? And how would you crop it?

Cheers.

Thanks Jon for the move.

Personally i'd be tempted to leave a bit of space in front of the lead car AND some of the crowd too. Just get rid of the sand trap & keep as much of the smoke as you can.

this one would be how i would crop it
the cars look way oversaturated too, they are a pinky orange whereas these shots look red

nice shots though, looks like you were standing near the big TV screen towards the exit of turn 1 (Cat corner)

I tend to go overboard on the sat on everything. Plus I think they looked better red :)

Yeah thats were I was for those shots on the CAT corner.

No offense to elvisrally but it's more eye catchy for viewers to look at pictures close up like what myphotosuck did, especially on that kind of scene. It's more appreciated than that one.

Can you leave more space in front of the car next time? The composition makes me feel like it is going to drive off the image or into a brick wall. Sharp pic and exposure is right on.
