first off, i dont know if this is the right place to post, so mods, if you need to move it, go right ahead.

well, i had made a photobucket account a couple of years back when i had my point & shoot, but now im really looking in getting an Rebel XTi (400D) since the price has gone done incredibly. well, i know personally that photobucket ruins a lot of the quality of the pictures, and it seems a lot of people on here are part of flickr.

so i was wondering which is better in terms of keeping quality of the photo. thanks in advance to all who should reply and give advice. any and all will be appreciated. thanks again.

photobucket is a very basic photo upload site, flickr is far superior in quality, options and hosting.

flickr is the best option....I use both though, one for I really like and want to show off so to speak and photobucket for quick uploads to non photo forums.

flickr is where you want to be. its easy to upload to. friends can find your photos a lot faster as well.

I find photobucket is great for off-site linking, and I put pretty much any picture I edit onto there. I keep flickr for stuff that's actually good.

I use photobucket, mainly because they gave me a free pro account for a year. I never really gave Flickr a try, I never did like it.
