Been a while since I posted anything. Here are some shots from the race. Canon 20D AV mode Simga 70-300 f5.6. I was in row 19. My first attempt at panning.

Thanks for sharing, nice work.

It's too bad we never see Ky Busch's crew pushing his car during the race

Maddog12 -- Thanks appreciate it. Yeah Busch kinda brings that sentiment out in people.
TheSportsGuy -- I was in section H. I bet you are in a few of my shots of them coming down the straight. :)
DMPhoto -- Thanks. DE Jr. is my driver! I hated it when he hit the wall. Felt bad for Stewart too when he blew a tire with just over 3 laps to go and a half lap ahead. Jr. was smokin' around the track most of the day.

Question for you...did you just take the camera w/lens in or did they let you bring a bag in too? Reason I ask is that I might be going to the next Bristol race and am thinking about bringing my gear but don't want to carry in the camera only.

btw, nice shots

I have been to many Nascar races with my full camera bag with no problems. Most will ask you to open the bag for them to see inside but they have never done anything but look inside bag and say go ahead. Have done this at Texas, Lowes, Martinsville, Pocono and Daytona no problem

bring whatever gear you want. They just ask to open your bag to make sure there is nothing illegal. I have been to many races and have seen all sorts of gear at the race. It is always a good idea to visit that track's website to be sure there aren't any restrictions.....like at some NBA and MLB venues.

My brother works at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and he was able to get me a garage pass and pit pass for any day (except the race)....the bad thing was I just started a new job and couldn't take any time off to head over there. Oh the pictures I could have gotten !

I am a Hendrick guy and was thrilled that Jr joined the team. I have been a "closet" jr fan for years. He'll get AMPed up one of these races.
