We had snow last night so, I thought I'd take some pictures outside today. Got back in and they were rubbish. Until I started looking...

Last night I'd been playing and set the camera to 3200 ISO and Adobe RGB.

So, I set it all back, rushed outside before the sun went in and took some more - ahhh - much better....

So, advice. Remember, to check settings BEFORE you play - not after.

Agreed, this is my bane. Nothing better than whipping out the camera and snapping off a shot in a rush, to find I had left +2EC, 1600ISO, and Self-Timer is on. Self-Timer.. killer.

(Don't ask why those settings were enabled.)

Yep.. I hate when I forget to check the settings. As LexLuther says.. It's especially frustrating when you leave the self timer on. Press the shutter then sit there like a dope as the timer counts down :)

I wish they had a selectable "default" mode, where you could choose the settings that the camera would use when it was shut down and powered up again. This could be an Fn function so you could turn it on or off.

Maybe in the 30D :)
