Being able to shoot landscapes, automatically means i can shoot anything else (people, animals, wedding) right? Wrong! Thats what people seem to think, after seeing my landscapes, i've had numerous portraiture pic requests and pet portrait requests.

Rather than pass up on the opportunity, i thought i'd try my hand at it, so next time i can charge a little fee.

Let me know what you think of these two pics. I think the 10 x 15 DoF is a bit too shallow? Also there is a framed pic in the background (with me in my degree outfit!) that is a bit distracting i feel, but the only time the thing sat still was to look out of the window!

Aw.neighbours have this breed.

I do find the first to be rather strong in DOF..but the eyes are great.

Second is my choice..but the chair(?) is harsh and draws the eye down...against a darker or solid BG this would be ace!
