I currently own a Kata 102 and love it. It worked fine for me until I bought the 40D yesterday. I would like to be able to fit both cameras, all the lens listed below, and a little spare room for rocket blower and such in the same bag. Is the 103 any bigger inside then the 102 or does it just add room for a laptop? Any suggestions for a backpack that will carry my lens and both bodies?
Bodies - 40D and XTI both with grips
Lens - 100-400L, 70-200 F4L, 17-55 F2.8, 50mm F1.8
Flash - 430EX
I will be looking to add a 10-22 lens soon as well so making room for that would be nice.

Matthew I'm pretty sure the 103 only adds the Laptop pocket and nothing else. I sold mine for the very reason it lacked extra storage and didn't like the idea of a water bottle having to hang from a carabiner.

Correct, however Kata does make some larger bags for video that would fit two bodies w/grips.

One thing to consider... Get any bigger than Kata 102 or 103, it won't be airline carry-on compliant in case you do want to travel by air...

The 103 is just added laptop compartment, but what you might want to consider is to buy a Kata waist pack (W-92 or W-94). These wait packs can be used by themselves, but they can also be attached to your R-103 making it a larger backpack. That solution will give you more room when you need it but still be able to use the smaller backpack when you're traveling like SYS said.

Thanks for the replies. I do plan to keep the 102 for times when I only want to carry one camera and I also have never flown on a airline yet so that isn't much of a factor right now. I will take a look at the larger 502 and the W-92 and W-94. For now I have managed to pack all my gear in the 102 but I have to put everything in a certain way to get it all to fit. For example, I can not put a camera in the bag attached to the 100-400 or 70-200. I have to have one camera attached to the 17-55 and one without a lens attached and I can fit them both in the middle.
Thanks for you help. I am also still open for any other suggestions.
