Do many people here use reflectors? I've been throwing around the idea of getting one (only €15), though it's not particularly high on my list...

I have a combined reflector and diffuser (is that the right English word?) and I bring it with me every outdoors photo session, but I don't use it that often and when I do use it, most ot the time I use it as a diffusor.

Reflectors blind people on sunny days, flash is way easier too.

Plus on reflectors, you will be spending your time moving around and adjusting for the right angle, etc...just use your flash properly and you will be happy.

on a windy day reflectors are a bitch.. not mention that people move and fidget on the spot.. flash follows them where a reflector doesn't work as well... and most reflectors are only good for a single individual not a group or couple

I bring mine with me and use it fairly often. Not only as a reflectors, but gobo, shade, extra lens hood, etc. It also helps out when using a flash for a little fill. But as others have said it won't work in every situation as easily as flash will.

I think they are useful tools even though you may not use it everyday.

I have never used my reflector for a wedding--but have used it for an engagement shoot. Typically I like to use it to block out the sunlight vs reflect light on the subject.
