I'm headed to Cuba for my brother's wedding this time around, and I get to take the photo's. Things that I have learned from my last time have pushed me towards only shooting in RAW format (20D). Well, I have 2 1gb CF cards currently, and I know that wont be close to enough, seeing as how I'd like to do some photography of my own while vacationing. Taking a laptop is not allowed. What I have found is this.

Very interesting. Something I can just jam CF cards into and dump pictures. I know that it may not allow me to actually view the CR2 files, but does anyone know if it will actually let me write the files to the unit? I figure I can't go wrong with $/GB of storag this thing offers.
I have looked at the iPod Photo but getting the files to the camera seems like a huge task.
Anyone know of any other options? Just remember, I can't take a laptop.

There are a few posts on here that deal with this topic, and a wide range of pocket hard drives for down loading your photographs onto the ones with screens do alow you to check that you have down loaed the photographs and can view most RAW files. I should think that the Nikon one in your link will view other file formats as well as the nikon version of RAW although I have not seen this one so not to sure.
I have one that does not have a screen so it is just a case of down loading the photographs and hoping that it has worked. I haven't had any problems with mine but if I was buying ine now I would go for one with a screen.
Do a search of the posts on here and on the web sites to see the different models avaliable for differnt prices. One I have heard good reviews on although I don't know if it is available were you are or if it goes under the same name is the photo-trainer which you can get in sizes 20 to 60 or 80 gig and seems good value, which has a good size screen.
Hope this helps

I've been using the ultra cheap and no frills "X-Drives" for a few years... they are crude by todays standards but get the job done just fine.

X-Drives are OK.
Here is my review of the X-Drive 2, but you should get the Pro version these days as it has the key advantages of being able to see filenames and much faster transfer from card to hard drive:

My solution is to have 2GB of CF cards and a 2.5 inch portable USB hard drive. If I manage to fill the CF cards up i'll go into an internet cafe, plug both in, and transfer the images over.

How about a product from here at http://www.nixvue.com/. They seem to have good storage products.

I use the X-drive 2. It's cheap compared to other products and does the job. It's got none of the fancy options some of the more expensive solutions have. But if you just want to store photo's then it's great.

I have used X-Drive Pro and it is great. I took it with me for my last trip to Rome. It is a little bit heavy though, therefore i have 1GB card and left the thing at my hotel. Every evening I loaded the pics into it and cleared my card, ready for next morning.

I have the Flash-HD to go! from mediagear. It worked fine for me while on vacation. They have a 20Gb for $200 and a 40Gb for $400. Easy to use. No frills, tho, in case you're looking for a bunch of bells and whistles. Here's the link to their website (I have no affiliation other than as a customer):

My suggestion is the EPSON P-2000 (picture above). I've been using one for three weeks and all I can say is: Perfect!

I understand the attached has a very good rating, keep us posted as to what you decide on and how good or bad it was.

I'd second the vote for the Epson P-2000, which is getting really good reviews so far. I don't have one yet, but I'm just waiting for the price to come down a little and don't have an immediate need for it right now. It has a higher resolution screen that any other one I've seen (640x480), and already has support for 20D and 1Ds Mk II RAW files.
Here's a review on The Luminous Landscape:
