Curvey Cactus

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the macro forum, but I chose here because it's a bit abstract.

This is some sort of cactus that my wife bought a while back. I threw a black backdrop around it and took this shot from above. I couldn't decide on the best orientation, but this is what I came up with. If you prefer a different orientation (flipped horix. or vert. or whatever) let me know.
