Not one of my usual haunts, but the local paper required some Sunday morning shots - the sun shone briefly and my twenty minutes by the pitchside provided these pics:

Some nice thots there! #1 is a great capture, did he miss the ball in the end?

One thing though, watch where the sun is and try to position yourself with it behind you. Beauty of Sunday league football is you can sit wherever you want!

Thanks Pete... I have to say I try not to shoot with the sun behind me wherever possible - the harsh lighting can make the exposure very hard to control and increases the contrast dramatically. I find I often get better results shooting into the sun and exposing for the shadows...

I guess it depends on the lighting, but have found that having the sun behind me allows for some subtle lighting, but if it's harsh then yea, I agree with Brad's comments. Am used to the dullness of Loughborough!
