I spoke with the folks at Adobe yesterday and was told that the $299 upgrade offer to PSCS from PSE2 that came with the 20 D is going to end in about a month. So if you are going to do it you better do it soon!!!

the offer ends sometime in Feburary. All you need is the serial number from the PSE 2 disk that came with your 20 D.

THANKYOU!!!!
You just put $350 in my wallet!
Last week I bought a full version of CS for $649 with my new G5
Luckily It arrived before the computer did.
It's still unopened with the cellophane intact,
Now it will be headed back to Apple for a refund,
I was able to follow the link to the Adobe special
and purchase it for $299.
Whoo hoo!
The Adobe order should arrive
the same day as the G5!

Before this Canon offer existed, there was a similar offer (also for $ 299) - I think it's likely that after the Canon offer ends, Adobe will come up with a new offer. We'll see...

HI Jesper,
I've recently downloaded a trial copy of PhotoshopCS! I already have Photoshop 6, and as a said before it can't download RAW Images? Now, with that understanding, have you tried any other software that is easier or better then "CS", for example, PRO CS1?

It's so frustrating that you can't do this with a UK mailing address and credit card :(

HI Jesper,
I've recently downloaded a trial copy of PhotoshopCS! I already have Photoshop 6, and as a said before it can't download RAW Images? Now, with that understanding, have you tried any other software that is easier or better then "CS", for example, PRO CS1?What is "PRO CS1"?
Photoshop CS includes Adobe Camera Raw version 2.2, which can read Canon Raw files from the 300D, 10D, etc., but not from the 20D. You can download an update (version 2.3 or 2.4 beta) on Adobe's website (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html), which will enable you to open RAW files from the 20D in Photoshop directly. Photoshop Elements version 3.0 also includes Adobe Camera Raw.
Besides Photoshop CS or Photoshop Elements 3.0, there are other programs by other manufacturers to convert RAW images to TIFF or JPEG, the standard formats. For example: Bibble (http://www.bibblelabs.com/), Capture One (http://www.phaseone.com/), Breeze Browser (http://www.breezesys.com/) and ofcourse Canon's software: File Viewer Utility, EOS Viewer Utility and Digital Photo Professional. You got at least one of those programs with your camera.
Wintoid: Yes, the Elements to CS upgrade offer is only for the USA and Canada... but my brother lives in the USA, so he ordered it for me and sent it to me! :) (Asked Adobe first if that was OK, and they said it's no problem, but if I'd need support I'd need to call Adobe in the USA).
