Rose BW (blue Channel)

Sometimes, selecting just one channel when converting to B&W realy makes it pop. This is the blue channel...I think I remember this rose bing pink originally.

This was done in Photoshop. If you go to the chanel tab (is with the layers windows), you'll see red, green, and blue. Just select one of the channels and you'll see it go greyscale (since that's all they really are.) Then after only the one channel is selected, convert to grey scale which will remove the other channels. There may be better ways to do it but that's the basics of if. It doesn't work for every photo and not always the same channel.

Great looking rose, and thanks for the reminder about playing with the channels. Several years ago I got some great results by swapping channels. I'd forgotten about that and haven't tried it lately. Time to play around in Photoshop again... :D
