A couple ships and a sub on the riverfront

Went for a walk downtown along the riverfront today and had the 40D and 10-22 along. The sub's always there, the car ferry visits daily in summer, and the other ship stops in every few months, they all happened to be there at the same time today. I usually shoot birds and aircraft, so this is new but I wanted to play with the 10-22 a bit. C & C always welcome and appreciated, thanks for looking!

Man I miss Wisconsin... I spent my last 4 years up in south eastern wisconsin and LOVED anything north and west of Milwaukee.... I spent alot of my weekends out and about. Winter time was spent in eagle river with the sleds....

There is only one thing that gets me with Wisconsin... Some of the people up there are just sooooo old school and backwards it blows my mind. How people complain about building a hospital near there town boggles me.... They are building it with a level 1 trauma unit and the closest one is Milwaukee which is like 1.5 hours away.. HOW COULD YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT! Oh, thats right, they said it would create too much competition with the other hospital, which is more then a half hour away!!! gueeezz....

ANYWAYS, Love the state! One of the best for the great outdoors..

Thank you for the kind comments everyone! The first shot was the only one with anything more than the most basic pp work, I was worried it was lost. The place they have the Cobia docked, makes for poor lighting. This shot was taken almost directly into the sun facing west southwest, and was backlit horribly. Thank goodness for RAW:D

Kenski, your comments about the area are pretty much right on, but remember in Wisconsin most people think any beer that's cold is good beer;)

Yeah, that is true but there were some places I went and my buddies only drank Bud or Bud light and BOY did they get the cold shoulder. I have always been a miller fan... MGD LIGHT is the best I think.

Another thing I wont miss, CASH ONLY BARS. MAN, I have NEVER seen so many CASH ONLY BARS. I was spoiled with running a tab and using a CC at the end, then when I moved to Wisconsin, NO CC!!! CASH ONLY!!! Errrr.... But they usually are the best bars. I prefer hole in the wall bars....

I have done the pub crawl in cudahay too..... SUCESSFULLY!!!
