I think they're actually gawking at you, Pio....lol

what lens was that?

I've been gone a while, good to see you're still at it! Got rid of my SLR equipment and going with a G9...

Maybe they're awaiting a bikini girl to jump out of it, like a birthday cake :-)

my other post (reply here) went awol
sorry about that. it was my own doing
but meant to say, its a lovely clear shot looking right past the boys and on up the street Pio, they seem to be watching you taking a shot of the bags of rubbish. very nice angle of nearly every city's lifestyle

maybe the boys are interested in more ways then one. shame they may probably never get to hold a camera
I would love to know what they are thinking and whats the next step for them in their lives
(other then what some expect from groups like it)

Very nice - I'd also be interested in what cam / lens was used and if any colour treatment? It has a HDR feel to it!

Hey Andy, glad to see you again! G9 eh? It's still a good camera, small and light, perfect for the streets.

Andy, dital, the lens I used was a 17-40, on a 1dMkII body. It is gloriously wide at 17mm, and stopped down it has a huge DOF. In this photo I used a landscape trick of capturing a foreground object and the background as well.

Thanks for looking!

Hehehe, I came out unscathed. The beauty of wide angle lenses is that people don't realize that even though the lens isn't pointed directly at them they are in the photo :) They were all looking at me, wondering why this crazy dude was taking a photo of a smelly pile of trash replete with slimy ooze dripping from it.

runninman was right, this was extracted from my archives, taken before spring. I have been in a photographic funk lately, but I covered a parade last Sunday which seemed to snap me out of it.

Thanks for looking and commenting, all!

I forgot to mention, this was my usual workflow: desat, D and B, applied vignetting.
