Until recently I was able to download pictures from my camera to my computer running Windows XP, using the normal Canon driver. Since I've upgraded to Windows XP SP1 and re-installed the driver software, it doesn't work anymore.
The symptoms: after first attempt to download pictures after installation, a dialogue window appears, indicating that the system is trying to find pictures on the camera. This suddenly goes away and nothing else happens. From second attempt onwards: just a sound when I connect and switch on the camera, device is recognised and shows up in hardware list, but "downloading" dialogue window doesn't appear anymore.
Does anyone have similar problems, or - better still - a solution?
Thanks
