First try at BW conversions any tips, comments or general guidance will be much appreciated( all shot in RAW)

The conversion looks fine. The photo is not that interesting though so I can't really decide which is better. Try getting lower and closer to the headstone so the words are clearer and the background is blurred.

Thanks it was the conversion I was concerned about rather than the comp but from your comments I seem to be on the right lines regarding the conversion

I like both conversions - but think a bit of contrast would help and maybe a tad darker.
