Hi

I've just bought a pack of A3 Canon Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss (Satin) SG-101.

When I came to print using my Canon i9950 printer the dialog box for paper selection does not contain a Semi-Gloss (Satin) selection.

Does anyone know which is the best setting to match this paper, or is there an ICC profile that I could download that would match this and thus bring the type up in the printer settings box?

Hope someone can help, it's too darn expensive to keep trying different settings.

I prefer pearl finish papers, bought this paper, and contacted Canon Tech support. Her reply was Canon recommends using the current "SP" ICC Profile for the PP+ Gloss with the Semi-Gloss. She also suggested that I could try try the two different quality PP Pro Profiles (PR1 and PR2) and see if I prefer the output. I am happy with the the SP Profile Driver. Color output matching has been outstandingly accurate in my profiled workflow. It fades, but it has excellent sharpness and rendition for people photos. I Soft Profile in PS CS and Assign Profile and use the Print with Preview driver, as per Canon's recommendations in their .pdf color management guide available on line.

Thanks for that J, I will try the PP+ glossy profile. Your workflow seems to fall in line with mine so hopefully this will be the answer.

Cheers
