Heres my Dog, what could I do to make this photo better?

First of all welcome to the Forum

Now for the dog - what I want to see is the dog's features, it's eyes, nose, etc. Your focus is just before the dog's face which puts the dog in "soft focus" also the highlights are burned-out coming from the light source's you have used which are to each side you really need something in front to light up his face and eyes. A bounced flash would have helped.

What are the camera and settings you used?
