I can see it...
And Kodiak may be stupid - I don't really know - but he looks like he could pull a truck out of a ditch without any effort.

Oh this boy can pull!! To give him exercise.. I have to ride a bike and hook him up to a big tire with chains so he can pull it.. And he can still keep up. Can't really walk him because he walks me!!!

I used to own a Shepherd/Husky mix, and I used to lean back when whe walked me. (I'm not a small guy, either!) A friend estimated that I was at a 30-degree angle. And Schatzi weighed about 75 pounds if she was lucky. I can only imagine what Kodiak would do if I walked him.

He is 89 lbs and I'm 230! The chiropractor says I shouldn't walk him anymore. Thats how I had thought up the bike idea to give him more exercise. When I first adopted Kodiak from the SPCA.. They told me he was a Siberian Husky.. Just recently did I found out he is actually an Alaskan Malamute!!! Someone in the neighborhood walks two Huskies and they were tiny compared to him.

Be happy he's only 89 pounds! I once romped with a 115-pound Mute... It was like 2 bears wrestling. Great fun.

Every time I begin to think of one of my Labs as "stupid", I realize that they just may be more intelligent than me ;) The image top right is outstanding.

I have a 105 pound Mal, and I'm glad I leash trained him early on. He actually heels quite well. But once I hook him up to the cart he'll pull 2000 pounds. There's another Mal in our club (Jammer) that regularly pulls 2800 to 3000 pounds, and hold the "most weight pulled" title so far this season with 3250 pounds.

I wouldn't say stupid... Nordic breed dogs a pretty intelligent... Yep, looks like a Malamute to me, as I have a Siberian Husky as well... Yes, Malamutes are a bit larger, have smaller ears that are spread out further between them... Nice looking pup though...
Thanks for saving him...
