Great sharpness on all, but my favorite is how the water drop on the eye of the first one really stands out. I share your pain, weather here has been atrocious. Winter did not want to go away. and this month we've been deluged with massive amounts of rain. oh well, as longs as Spring arrives by Summer, we'll be ok.

Wow! Love all the bug shots...esp that first one...like the prior poster said, the water drop really adds a nice effect.

Question...I am a new S5 owner and I really love taking macro shots like the ones you did...I was trying like crazy today to get one of a really cool spider in the yard, but I had a tough time getting the camera to focus on it sharply. Then, when I tried going super macro I had to get very close to the bug and it freaked him (or her) out big time.

Will it be possible for me to get pix like the ones you have, or close, using my S5? Should I get a macro attachment for it?

Thanks...and again...great pix!

Technically speaking, no, because the shots in my post were taken with the MPE-65 lens (magnifies 1-5X life size). As far as i know the S5 does not have such extreme macro capabilities.

But ive seen some great macros taken with Canon G9, by some member on this forum (i forgot the username). Im sure the S5 and G9 can take some really nice macros, but they might not be as sharp, or well lit.

Thanks
