I have been working on a new website - www.blackshadow.com.au
I'd appreciate it if you would take a look and let me know what you think especially how effective it is, how fast, how it looks etc.
TIA Richard

when you mouse over a picture it mentions the size, is that correct or was that the size of the original picture? It doesnt seem to load too slowly, though a picture does have a delay. I can't tell if it's transfering a lot of data very fast as its an Australian site or if it's transfering the thumbnail a little slower than I expected?

Looks pretty nice, Richard. Only a few things I noticed:
1. On your "image use" page, that third paragraph needs some re-wording.
2. Your FAQ is hard to read, specifically I think if you add a bit of space in front of the questions, if might help. Also some of the content text is in different sizes
3. Your gallery includes the note "The photos displayed online here are low resolution for web viewing only. The high resolution and print quality of the photos looks much better than what is displayed on this website." I would counter that your images are (or at least should be) presented in the *best* quality they can be for display on a monitor, and that folks understand that a monitor is different from a print. Stating that the prints will look "much better" could be presenting an unrealistic expectation. I had an experience of exactly this, where someone expected the print to be (magically) "better" when they ordered it, and referenced my own web site stating something similar to yours. I've since toned down the "they will be so much better when you see them printed" message. Just food for thought...

Thanks for the feedback.
and.duncan - I assume you mean when you mouse over in the gallery section - that is the original file size not what is shown online (or hosted online). I am using a US based host hostgator as Australian hosts are just too expensive compared to what you can get offshore.
Good points tracknut - I'll be on to those thanks.

Thanks PhotoDonkey. I think it is starting to get there... but have so much content to add to it!

I've done a bit more tweaking and think it looks much better than it did a week ago but I'd like some feedback from others.
TIA
