When I was post processing this picture, I thought it did look look like a HDR, but all I did was tweak the color curves, did some desaturation etc. Isn't HDR a merger of several exposures?

It is indeed, and with the sun behind/above the building I too assumed it was an HDR image. Either way, good job!

would it be ok if i can use that photo for a project I'm designing?that is really a cool photo i can do a lot with that image(like back drops.)it is really nice how you capture the detail.

A music cover for a singer(r&b) and that photo would make a good back drop.
