Err CF

This is the first time its happened to me and boy what bad timing.

I recently got back from a trip to Goa India....unfortunately I didnt carry my laptop along so couldn't do a backup for the pictures.

Now I have a 1Gb Sandisk Ultra II CF card that cannot be read. It definitely cant be read on the card reader and the camera says ERR CF!!

I know I should have created backup, but there was absolutely nothing I could do on the trip. Is there anyway I can recover the data or is this a lost case.

You might try PhotoRescue or PhotoRescue Advanced from DataRescue (http://www.datarescue.com). It's a commercial product but you can download a trial version that will let you know what it sees as recoverable and buy the registration key if the results look promising.
