A little dark for me, but generally very nice shots. Watch the oversharpening halos in #s 2-4.

Aw! I missed the show!
I used to live at McGuire and wish I could go back for these shows.

With a little PP to open up the shadow areas (and maybe back off on the vignette some too) I'd hang all four on my wall anytime!
Sometimes, just catching the "essence" of a fighter jet makes a very dramatic image.
Nice work!!

Nice sharp shots, but grey ac in B&W doesn't do it for me.

In the second set...#2 does it for me.
I honestly like the B&W better...you just do not see that as much. :)

Were you using the 70-200 2.8 for this set?
RyanM

yup. 70-200 no tc.. a bit small on the focal length but have to make do with what you have. looking into a 100-400

Thanks. Yup no tc. They are cropped a good bit, not 100% but probably 70% crops I would say

Nice shots, Ryan! I was there this weekend, too! Although, you have way better shots than I got... Must invest in a 70-200 2.8 IS :(
Anyway, did I catch you as you shot the image above?

I too am inspired by this... I do some B&W on aircraft on the ground but have never tried while they are in the air...something I must try.
