Didn't get to experiment with the flowers as much as I would have liked to tonight since I wasn't feeling well. But here is my picture for my pic a day project. :)
Comments appreciated.

Love the shot, as I'm partial to black backgrounds. I agree it might be better to include the full petals, although I admit to doing the same as you on occasion.

Karina.
Thank you. Thank you. Nice picture. Is the "flame" edge on the yellow petals from this sample natural, or have the sepals started to age? I'm professionally interested.
I spent two years as a Gerbera (with an "a" on the end, if you please change your portfolio title) breeder overseas. Gerbera originated wild from the "Traansval Daisy" in South Africa. Bred right, handled right, you can get almost a two week shelf life in vase, that's why they are so popular in Europe. They do not yeld well though.
I used to obtain some wild colors in the hybrids, almost blue, which is a rarer color. So I'm always interested in good Gerbera colors.

Good Job on this one. Love the black background, makes the flower jump right out at you. I have to agree on the clip, I think if it had a little more of the black all the way around it would almost take on a 3D look. :)
