What should I expect?
I ordered some new filters and extention tubes.
The extention tube have no electrical contacts.
Did I waste my money?
I have not received them yet.
In your opinion will I still be able to have fun?
If you have such a set up.
would you post an example.

You will be able to use the ext tubes but you will have to stop the lens down manually first to say F8 by attaching the lens normally setting F8 in Av mode, press down the DOF preview button and remove the lens whilst keeping the button depressed. The lens will then stay at F8 until it is attached again normally to the camera. This just means the viewfinder will be a bit dimmer than usual when used with the ext tubes.
