I really like the first one but it looks like its been oversharpened. Id also clone out a couple spots. I like the colors in it though. Im not a fan of super vivid sports shots.
#2 Doesnt do much. Whats the point? Why would the average person want to look at this? I dont know who it is or what shes doing (aside from holding a club) so why should I be interested? Im not saying this to be mean, but I think these are things you should think about when taking pictures unless youre just looking for snapshots (which isnt a bad thing)
#3 Is pretty much in the same boat as #2. It doesnt do much for me. Why is he looking that way? I cant see a ball...Is he even playing? Without being there or without seeing this stuff in a picture, I, and any other viewer, have no way of knowing. This also looks oversharpened.
I really dig (no pun intended) #4. The only complaints I can find is that I wish you could see more of the club head and again maybe sharpen a little bit less. What are your sharpening settings anyways?
#5 Could be a lot better if there wasnt a distracting lady sitting in the background.
Good work. Keep it up.

#1 looks like a really dangerous angle to be shooting fron as well!

what lens were you shooting with?
I see 70mm @ f 3.2 and 300 @ f 3.5, why were you shooting at these apertures?
the background looks weird
and I agree with Adam's note on the image being oversharpened. it gives the player a weird halo, right up to the point where the player and the background meet.
# 1. I really like the framing and composition of this image, I'm going to try this shot the next time I get a chance at shooting golf.
#2. would prefer if there was some golf related background. It seems like you can get someone to dress the same and shoot in the backyard.
#3. Would be better if the player had the ball on the green. Him holding the ball and looking... it doesn't look like he's reading the green or thinking about stuff. Golf is both a mental game, got to show his mental side.
#4. Nicely Done.
#5. Lady in background definitely bad. I got to ask, but what's the point of these kinda of impact shots in golf? from this angle I mean. the shutter was hit 1/3 down swing before contact, which is a no no in golf, then the end result, a little face but, the face capture is just face, it shows no emotion because there was no eyes, no nose, and just a tad of the mouth.
Point of impact shots i think, works from the back, or if you're shooting way way infront with like a 600 or longer lens, when you can "see" the ball coming towards the image.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to comment...
I have taken all comments and stored them away for the next tournament.
As for the lenses, it was the 70-200 and 300 mm....I have spoken to my finance minister (mrs) and were have different opinions on purchasing a 600...

Im not saying this to be mean, but with what youre doing here, I really dont think a 600 is a smart choice. If youve got the money to blow, more power to you. I suggest that perhaps you just rent one for a little while until you start making enough money from this what it would warrant you purchasing one.

Hi,
It's nice to see a lot of other people doing golf shoots. That said, while I'm no expert, I agree largely with the other people here. #1 Is a very clean, sharp shot, but I'm not sure the golf bag is necessary. #4 Might've been interesting with a reverse angle...

I'm sure these are great shots but, to be honest, I can't stand golf and this doesn't make me want to go and shoot it. Maybe I'm just used to more people and more sweat. ;)
