Harvestman found moving around looking for shelter from the wind today.

And it looks like he found a hiding place that wasn't moving around so much, and hunkered down in the crevas of this rock.

Thanks Bryce. The pictures in my book are not that good, and are from far away, but I made the ID based on color, size and the legs. My shot is far more detailed that what I can see in the book. Do you have a good web site for spider ID?

I have never seen one of those Harvestmen before. Very cool shot!!
As for a Website, the best one I know of is here http://bugguide.net/index.php?q=search&keys=harvestmen&search=Search

So it's not a spider? It has 8 legs. Weird looking bugger though. Got to be a strange life.

97%+ of Americans would tell you a daddy longlegs is a spider, so not a huge jump. Arachnids, but not spiders. I went through.. 18 years of my life thinking they were spiders
Haven't seen one closeup recently, very nice!

the harvestman looks superb!
i think they have less eyes than spiders, and only one body segment. so that makes them different than other spiders.
