Bugs from around the lake

My buddy decided he was going fishing, I'm not so fond of doing this but taking pictures while he was fishing was rather entertaining. I got my first damselfly and found the neatest little jumper. This guy was fast, jumping a couple leaf spans at once!

Thank you very much. There was a little bush with about 5 of them, well, that's all I could see. Since they were so fast I'm assuming I only saw the same one a couple times unless I was following it.

Oddly I haven't been fishing since I retired (one of those things I thought I would do) but photography is much more interesting and the same feeling of communing with nature.

Thanks. I really never was that interested in fishing, so when he asked if I wanted to go, I figured it was a place to get away with a lot of cool bugs to take pictures of. I guess that's not too strange is it?

Thank you very much John. I still think your red jumper was much better than these shots, but I have to start somewhere. I just got the camera in December, and I can definitely see a lot of progress in my own shots from then to now. Thanks for the inspirational shots everyone!
