Hi everyone & Season Greetings!
While I already bought it, Id appreciate fellow owners' views on the A95, particularly in comparison to the A70.
I did enjoy the A70 a lot (it was stolen recently!) but suffered from the screen which was easily scratched and the difficulty to take good quality night shots w/ the flash in automatic mode.

A friend of mine has the A85 and my wife has the A70. I like the swivel screen on the A85 when you need it. Good choice. I think you will be happy. My condolences on the A70. I hate to hear of people having the cameras ripped off.

I'm moving on to a 300D next year and the 95 is a good introduction to manual control so I can be learning my stuff whilst I'm saving.
The higher ISO settings are virtually unusable though due to very high noise and it does suffer from Purple fringing in high contrast areas. Avoid these two pitfalls and it's great.
I usually only ever use it in manual mode and on rare occasions AV & TV mode.
I've got some great macro shots with it, especially low down shots (http://steve120.fotopic.net/p9562578.html) which is where the swivel LCD comes in handy.
There are extra lenses available but would rather spend the money on a Rebel and lenses.
Using Nimh batteries and very pleased with the battery life.

I have a new a95 also. Just got it for Christmas. Outdoor pics are great but indoors is a little tricky.
They always have a yellow cast even on the tungsten or indoor setting, I always have to correct in photoshop. Fortunately, Photoshop takes care of it . Flash is a little weak and I now wish I had gotten one with a hotshoe. If you adjust the iso settings, the noise is really bad.
