What do you all do when it absolutely pours, thunders, lightning on a wedding shoot. Bride was nearly in tears, then the flowers did not show up for the bridesmaid, which definitely brought the tears. Just wondering how others would approach such a scenario?

This happened at my wedding. And we got married outdoors.
We delayed the ceremony 20 minutes as the rain was letting up right at start time. My best man, and a groomsman went to the store and bought a half case of paper towels to dry off seats.
It was a fiasco, I could go on for pages of all the things that happened that day, but I will say this. There is nothing anybody could do about the weather, our wedding date was set 15 months before the day, there was no way to know what the weather might be.
Live, laugh, and only be concerned about things you actually have some chance of affecting.

Well yeah, I know take photos. I have never met a bride that was willing to go outside and risk getting her dress dirty is all. At every wedding I do, I suggest some things to try and if it involves the dress on the grass or sandy beach, forget it. They don't want to do it. Since it's their dime, and their photos who am I to argue?
Erik, umbrellas are fine obviously. But I don't have assistants helping me.
Thanks for the comments thus far.
