Started on sorting & culling 1800+ photos from my Saturday wedding. My 2nd shooter contributed 800+ of these. I sent the B&G's parents 10 quick samples I did on Monday night so they could see what we had captured...they loved them and already have asked for prints of each. Sigh...long nights ahead...but that is what it is all about. I am on vacation all next week to see my grandkids & family in Chicago...I told the B&G final edits and sample prints by 21st :)

That's a lot of pictures, Jim. Glad you had a good time and did a great job. I'm exhausted thinking about it.

I'm gearing up (literally) for my hot weekend trip. I'm not excited about the terrible weather we'll be having and me with 2 cameras, 4 lenses, flashes, filters, batteries, CF cards, etc. I'm thinking less is more, but you never know what you need in any circumstance. With 400 young people and many activities, I could be shooting 500 pictures every day and not capture it all. The leaders want a picture of every person, some group, some individual. Yeah, how do you keep track?

It's good to see you, Kathy around here. Sorry the Allegra and coffee don't mix. I added back the Zyrtec and my headaches are gone. Weird. But I had a few diet Cokes yesterday and that didn't help as much. Today I'm going full speed again and hopefully, I won't lose my mind. I don't drink coffee, but I wish I had a battery pack in my body to get me going.

Thanks for the welcome back.. I'm in and out! A full time job, a side business and family really eats up a lot of time!!! And I'm thankful for all of them so I'm trying not to complain!!! :)

The fact that the wife and mother can help out the family is a blessing. When my husband was looking for another job, I went back to work full-time and it was hard, but worth it. Also, I have never stopped working part-time and volunteering since I can remember between the times I worked full-time. As a teacher, I can go back to a job without too much training. The pay is terrible and I could probably earn more being a legal secretary, but I love teaching. And I get so much from the kids meet. If I had to do a real full-time job again, though, I'd love to be a Sports Illustrated basketball shooter. :) or football. or following Tiger around, or . . . .

Our former pastor said that at one of his churches previous to ours that they were getting new carpet in the sancturary...there was an arugment between several members because one man said that the carpet needed to be red to symbolize the blood of jesus........LOL

We don't have many symbols in our chapels but plenty in our temples. Our chapels have some artwork, but nothing bloody. And most people see our temples and can't believe how beautiful they are. There have been accidents on 270 from people seeing the DC temple in front of them and are surprised.

BIL is flying in this evening having been in England, Spain, and Florida. Today is his birthday, so we ordered a birthday cake from the local 'exclusive' bakery. In fact, it was ordered exactly a week ago for pickup today. We had it decorated with a golf theme, etc., etc..

I went in to pick it up this afternoon, and it was right there in the refrigerated case waiting for me. I went up to the girl at the counter and told her I was here to pick up the cake in the case that said, 'Happy Birthday Pat.' She gave me a strange look and asked why I was picking up the cake today. I told her this was the date I had specified when I ordered it.

That's when she explained the cake has been sitting there for the last week. Apparently they made it the next day, and there it sat. It turns out the girl who filled in the order form put the same date for the order date and pickup date.

So I fussed and fumed and groused a bit. They decided to 'give' me the week-old cake which I am now going to use strictly as a decoration. I'm actually baking a cake myself right now that will have to do as the non-decorative version. At least it wll be edible.

I got out and swam with the fishies and it was totally excellent!! Kinda sorry I have to get on a plane tomorrow as yesterday will be me last swim with the whale sharks of the season ... but I guess the five week holiday should ease some of that pain!

Well Lisa, my cow pictures are no where as cute or good as the baby. But here they are anyway! I took this with my P&S out of my truck window and I tried to look thru the veiwfinder.......there isn't one!:rolleyes:

nooo, I had about 15 minutes, the house was SO HOT, she ws so blotchy, I had a nervous mom and grandma....

she was only 4 days old. SO I tried to do the bet I could

OOO and low low light I did not want to use a flash but I had to, It was not the best

The mountains are around us on all sides. We live in a little valley. Things like this make me love where I live. It's peaceful and pretty much crime free, so far.

Get this...we wanted a fixer upper and found one a ranch on 2 acres, loved it and were making all kinds of plans, we had approval for both the FHA and a conventional loan. the bank owns the house...

the bank decides, it would rather not make a loan on the house, because it needs a lot of work, that the only way they will sell it is for cash so I told my husband to offer them a crazy lowball cash price, of course they turned him down.

But because of so many foreclosures they were not willing to finance a fixer upper!

So, we are house hunting again!

Well, I figure it's not meant to be, it was a lot of work, nothing my husband could not have done, but oh well...we keep looking. I get to stay in Ohio :-)
