Here is an Image from my stock. It is of the late Bobby Bonds. He was watching Barry during batting practice. Bobby was a great guy, and was a teacher to all who would listen. Many players, not just Giants got the benefit of his wisdom and skills.

Bobby was definately a legend and major influence on a lot of players. Remember hearing the stories about him as a player being the teacher/mentor type and then carrying that over into coaching. What year is this from?

I think it was the 92 season. It's kind of odd, but I saw him on several occasions and felt that he was not quite fit. He teased me for being over weight, but it was good natured.

I have his autographed rookie card, he gave me a real bad time because he hated the shot on the card. He has a large afro hairstyle. He would share real baseall tips to anyone who was within earshot. Watching him with Dusty Baker, players of several other teams are some the finest memories of my career.

Oddly enough this is the only image I have of Boby by himself, just thought I would share it.

Cheers,
