White Water Kayakers (and one canoeist)

Some friends and I photographed the annual kayak festival on the Puntledge River, near Courtenay, BC, on the weekend, and I've posted some of the keeper shots here:

The power generation utility, BC Hydro, have a dam upstream, and release extra water on the last weekend in May each year to create conditions that draw paddlers from as far away as Vancouver, Victoria, and Whistler.

I would appreciate your comments on the shots, and links to other sites displaying photos of WW kayaking.

Hey Catchlight

Some nice shots there, I've just been WW kayaking on Monday, took my gear along but had so much fun I only took around 20 photo's :D.

What equipment were you using, I've been invited back for a photo shoot when the weather plays ball, I'm looking to upgrade to the 30D so will be selling my kit to fund it sooner than I expected.

I'll see if I can dig out a few of my poor attempts to post.

Good start on POTN BTW.
