View Full Version : WTB: Lightweight travel tripod for Alaska

I am looking for a travel tripod that will accompany me to Alaska at the end of June. I am hoping to find something pretty lightweight but not necessarily carbon fiber. It would also be nice to find something a bit smaller seeing it will ave to be on two commercial flights and a float plane. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. The most it will hold would be a 20D gripped with 70-200 F4L.

Not sure if you found what you're looking for, but I have CF tripod for sale that's fully equipped with a Gitzo ballhead and an RRS level clamp, all in like-new condition. It travels well...I've had on several planes, as well as a few puddle-jumpers. Here's the link if you're interested:
