Dan I really like the pano at the poll table. Very creative and nice!
Lisa turned it into a pano in post. It's really amazing what she's doing with my shots. Honest.

That's such a cool name.
There is always Loudon Wainright (http://youtube.com/watch?v=IdKno60jFlw) too. The video here is pathetic, but the song is fun. You should hear a bunch of drunks singing it around the campfire. :p
I put together a couple of templates of Dan's shots (I haven't started on mine yet) and was pretty happy with them...
Great shots, and wonderful processing. You guys will soon be busy once folks get wind of your good work.

With both camera clocks synced, and unless you click the shutters at the exact same time it would.
Was going to suggest the same. Also we found our camera clocks are off a bit eadh shoot. Somehow Curt synchs them via the computer.

Think it looks great, Dan. Well, except the grey robe thing.;)

Very nice, again I will say, Permie enhances already great shots. Sort of like actually knowing how to put on make-up it is to enhance the natural beaty already there when applied correctly. And I too like the pool shot great angle.

Evening...
It's about as exciting as my 40D's duck shot, but here's the 10D's first infrared snap (red and blue channels swapped):
That is a great shot Lonnie...wonder what mountains look like in IR :D.
Speaking of gas mileage...
I am pretty impressed with the Yukon. We averaged about 28-30 MPG on our trip.
Of course, there were extremes on both ends:
What in the world....how is that? Does your Yukon have that Active Fuel Management thingy? How does it do in the city?
Now, Becky, we don't want the boys to think we don't need them There are a few things that I just won't do so may pack up one or two as I fleeHow will you decide??
PICK ME! PICK ME! PICK ME!What makes you think they would after you said.......
Wooooooooo Hoooooooooooo
Double Woooooooooo Hooooooooooooo
.....oh kiss up :p
That's a great photo Bobby. I meant to say something earlier. :D
Does mama bird ever get mad at you for being so close?
Thanks Cat. No, not really. She actually flies off once she sees us get close to the door. That shot is actually shot through the glass of the door.
Oh yeah! Me, too :D
I think a crop of just their open baby-bird beaks would be cool!
Thanks Terri....and I think that would be a great crop, but this shot is a 1:1 crop already in LR...I assume 100%. If I went any further, I think the IQ would suffer.
Is there a way to combat that? Can I reset the counter on one or the other camera? Is there a setting that I can use for one camera and not the other that will separate the photos?
I see you already reset the counter and got some answers, but I would have sorted by time taken in the editing software...I think it sorts by minutes and seconds.
In LightRoom, it will show all the images taken with my older one with me as the author.
All images with the newer one have 'unknown author'.
But I don't remember how to set that.
*patiently waiting for my threadmates to enlighten me*
Using the EOS Utility on the tools then set name, can't remember exactly where it is in there...but its there.
That's a pretty cool shot, Bobert!!
Thanks Dan :D
Great shot, a bunch of hungry little Swallowers, eh!!! :D
Yes they are. As a matter of fact, each time the flash popped they would stretch out their little necks waiting for food. Odd reaction.

I am quite fond of Rufus Wainright's version of Cohen's hallelujah, other than that I am very much unfamiliar with him but very glad you had such a fantastic evening Neil. Love it. Check out KD Lang's version.
I'm a big Cohen fan. Most people know his work as covered by others.

You have to install the EOS utilities disk to your computer...then connect the camera...some require using firewire...some work with USB...and then you can enter your user info via the utility...I always enter my name and cell phone number...so that info shows on all my images.I have the EOS utility disk loaded, and I can't seem to find where to enter my name. Maybe I'm trying too hard.

It is 01:10 in the morning and I have just returned from the Manchester Opera House. I just wanted to come on here and say that there are many many things we have to thank Canada for but tonight I think their biggest contribution to the world is Leonard Cohen, he may be 76 years old but he has just given three hours of perfection I go to bed very happy I'm so glad that you had a nice time, Neil! I know how you were looking forward to seeing him again. That is fantastic. :D
Then you have never heard my daughters singing it together around a campfire, they make it totally mesmerizing. There were tears the first time they sang it together. (not mine though, of course ). They both knew the song well, but did not even realize the other knew it, as they are 12 years apart in age. :DI'd love to hear them singing it. Video please. ;)
I put together a couple of templates of Dan's shots (I haven't started on mine yet) and was pretty happy with them...
Wow! Those are fantastic! They will LOVE them.
Great poses and shots, Dan :D Great PP Lisa :D As a team, you guys rock! ^^ Yeah that. Ditto.
What in the world....how is that? Does your Yukon have that Active Fuel Management thingy? How does it do in the city?
Um, it's called something like that. It shuts down 4 cylinders when it doesn't need them. It does pretty well in the city too... about 18-22 depending.

When we lived in an apartment waiting for this house to be built, we were lucky to have to split the electricity bill and water bill with all units in the building. Ours typically came out to about $50 there.

Heck, without running a/c or heat. my bill is already $100 a month and that is being careful about turning lights and electronics off. Even unplugging stuff.

There has to be something wrong then....you should mention it to the apartment staff. OR...it could be that the guy who says he is reading the meter is not reading it and is putting random numbers in, that has happened to me when I received a bill for $282 for one month. That guy got reprimanded after they came and saw that the meter was not at the level the guy said it was.

Love it. Check out KD Lang's version.
I'm a big Cohen fan. Most people know his work as covered by others.
I'm still fond of Suzanne
Hi Wu, I agree on both accounts. KD Land has a great voice, and Suzzane is a classic in my books. :)
Um, it's called something like that. It shuts down 4 cylinders when it doesn't need them. It does pretty well in the city too... about 18-22 depending.
The '09 Pilot I am getting has VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) with runs the engine on 3,4 or 6 cylinders, depending upon load. More vehicles should do this. One thing I like about hybrids is that they shut right down whenever stopped. I think this should be incorporated into gas/diesel engines too, starters these days could easily handle it and the technology have been around for decades.
GAAAAAAA! Not the dreaded opaque!! *pulls hair and gnashes teeth*

We can put a 4x6 photo of Cara on the headstone.
Our favorite picture of her we have hanging in the hallway. It's a black and white 8x10, that I printed in the darkroom.
I'm having the hardest time scanning it. :? Because it's heat mounted to the mat board, and it's a larger size than my scanner.
This is the best I can get it to look... (No PP)

Hi, Wu. *squeals, jumps up and down, parcels out massive hugs*
I didn't need to see that. Really... I didn't...
Yup. Painful.
You misspelled "impossible". ;)
I'm terrified of my impending power bill! This thing runs all the time and seldom gets above 80. You'd think a 1 br apt would get cool eventually. I am thankful I finally have A/C in my vehicle!
Wu! Where ya been?
Funny thing about power bills... Since I moved to the desert, mine has gone down. Quite drastically, even. This time last year, my electricity bill was about $200. I just made the payment for this past month yesterday -- $46.49... And that's the highest bill I've had here, yet.
I'd probably have to buy the upgrade... I haven't used it in so long my current license has probably run out.
Your license never expires for the version you bought. I have v1.3 on this computer. It's a few years old, but it can read the EXIF from a 40D file just fine.
I have a problem.
We can put a 4x6 photo of Cara on the headstone.
I can't help you, but for some reason I'm all teary-eyed again...
Then... As I typed this, Tupper and Kitteh both simultaneously attacked a bird's shadow as it flitted across the blinds in front of the balcony's sliding glass door, and I laughed my butt off.
Yeah... Furkids. Gotta love 'em, huh?
Yeah, this is frustrating...
I downloaded the latest EOS utility. Installed.
I installed everything from the CD that came with my 40D on this old, soon to be removed computer. The EOS Utility program is nowhere to be found. As a test, I also installed everything on a test computer at work. That PC got a half dozen other programs in the "Canon Utilities" menu, including EOS Utility. So, I tried again at home, but went into the custom install menu instead, so I could pick and choose what to install. The EOS Utility program isn't even listed as an option!
Anon, the neighbour's cat.

Your license never expires for the version you bought. I have v1.3 on this computer. It's a few years old, but it can read the EXIF from a 40D file just fine.
I have BreezeBrowser Pro V. 1.6.2 and it shows all the information for the 40D RAW files with no problem. It just doesn't show whether Highlight Tone Priority was turned on or not... I'm thinking I may have to install DPP and see if that will read it.

Maybe it's time to get rid of that old computer... How old is it?
I installed the WIA driver, EOS Utility and the Picture Style Editor on my computer (new in 2004) and was able to name the camera with no problems at all.

Cat hope you get your camera named today. Yep I did. It's amazing what a good night's sleep for me and my computer can accomplish. :D
The newest version of EOS utilities is so different from the one that I had before. But I found where I needed to go, and did it. :D
Well that was a nice perk and I did have 2 beautiful partners. I was the smallest on the squad and I got the petitest girls, Lucky Me. Of course there was this one time at Cheer Camp <said in the best american pie> that shanon and i were stunting together. She was an inch taller and the same weight. That proved interestig. Of course not as interesting as when Tracy dropped her because he had a erm...ummmm.... hygene product in his hand.
Ya know, I'm not going to even comment on that. :p
And I laughed at the American Pie voice.
Anon, the neighbour's cat.
He's a nice looking cat!
He's a cat..... it's his job
The above post in no way implies my support of the cat's activity

I can't help you, but for some reason I'm all teary-eyed again...
Then... As I typed this, Tupper and Kitteh both simultaneously attacked a bird's shadow as it flitted across the blinds in front of the balcony's sliding glass door, and I laughed my butt off.
Yeah... Furkids. Gotta love 'em, huh?
You know it. ;)

at least I don't know how to change a filename on the xxd series. I knew how to name the cameras but I must have missed that that was what you were doing... sorry.
