As a newbie with a 10D and just enough knowledge to be dangerous... I thought it was about time to start putting my stuff out there for some feedback.

This photo was taken with my Canon 10D, 90-300mm F4.5 - 5.6, 1/180. I went a bit over exposed... will know better for next time

Please give some feedback or comment, as I don't have anyone that I know who is good at photography, so I'm on my own :) .

My other stuff is at

Not a whole lot there yet, but I'm off to europe next week, and I am going to take thousands of photos... so hopefully, I should have at least 2 or 3 decent ones to show off when I get back at the end of Jan :D

Thanks Amit. I was really disappointed when I got home and realised that I had bumped the exposure wheel with me nose, and it had been sitting on +2 for half of the day. I've learnt my lesson now, and turn that wheel off.

Does anyone know if there is anything you can do in Photoshop to improve a pic like this, or once its over exposed is it stuffed.

If you shoot Raw, you can usually get back detail from areas that are about 1+ stop overexposed. In Jpeg, you can try the PS CS shadow/highlight tool, and also by creating duplicate background layers set to "multiply"
