How can I improve this image. The center subject seems to have lost some coloring due to the flash. Is there any setting on the camera which can avoid this problem.

Well the colors look rather funky. And 1/250 sec is very short for nightime images. You probably need a lens that'll do a better appeture, since it looks like you only have the kit lens - try and not use the zoom at night since it increases your appeture value to min 5.6. For dark shots you definately want an external flash. You'll find 1/60 sec is a common shutter speed for night and indoor photography. You could also go to ISO 1600. I heard it is rather good quality.

How was the file size so small for an image that size?

Cool.. Thanks for tips.. I'm rather new to this Dslr world of photography. These tips are alot of help. I had reduce the file size so it won't take too long for folks to load. Thanks again.
